Star Valley @ Sugar-Salem

It’s an intense interstate showdown Friday night as the Star Valley Braves (1–0) make the trip to Sugar City, Idaho, to take on the Sugar-Salem Diggers (2–1). The defending Wyoming 3A State Champion Braves hit the road looking to continue their winning ways against one of eastern Idaho’s traditionally strong programs. Sugar-Salem enters the matchup on a roll. After dropping its season opener to Homedale, the Diggers have responded with back-to-back shutouts, defeating Snake River 35–0 and Shelley 41–0. Keep an eye on Sugar-Salem playmakers Frank Fillmore, Walt Fillmore, Declan Richins, Kai Benfield and Boston Nead, who have helped lead the Diggers on both sides of the football.
